Olympians Among Westminster

The Olympic games start Feb. 12. Yeah, a whole two and a half weeks away. For now, you'll just have to be patient...Besides, some athletes are still cramming for the big exam.

Westminster sent a release on their 14 Vancouver-bound students, from skeleton to aerials...A pretty big achievement for a school of only 3,000. One third of the Freestyle Ski Team ALONE goes to the college.

Click to read our Feb. feature story Olympians Among Us for even more Utah's athletes makin' it big.

Here's the breakdown of Westminster's Olympic home team:

Jana Lindsey (Aerials Women) – sophomore in communication
Heather McPhie (Moguls Women) – junior
Ryan St. Onge (Aerials Men) – sophomore in business
Dylan Ferguson (Aerials Men) – sophomore
Bryon Wilson (Moguls Men) – freshman in art
Liz Stephen (Cross Country Women) – freshman
Torin Koos (Cross Country Men) – Master of Professional Communication graduate
Morgan Arritola (Cross Country Women) – freshman

About This Blog

Welcome to the Hive! Magazine staffers are generally inquisitive, talkative folk, and that's definitely true here at Salt Lake. Luckily for us, a lot of interesting, random or just plain curious stuff crosses our desks every day, and gives us plenty to gab about.

Here's a place for us to share the stuff that strikes us as funny, or just plain strikes us. We hope you'll join the conversation.
