An Horse, SLUG's birthday headline the weekend

Plenty of options for your weekend entertainment dollar, y'all. Let's do this.

For my money, the can't-miss gig is tonight at the Sho Sushi venue connected to the Murray Theater at 4969 S. State, where Aussie duo An Horse is headlining. The show is at 7:30, and includes openers Avenue, Atlast and Eric Openshaw.

Haven't heard 'em? The guitar-and-drums duo's sound is sort of like Sleater-Kinney's poppiest moments, and their new album, Rearrange Beds, is a tasty slab of indie-rock from a female perspective. I can't wait to see if they're as good live as they are in the...
