Delicious collaboration—one fine art helps another

In the category "looking at art in the darnedest places,"  see the exhibit in the lobby of the Broadway Theatre, the exhibit on the walls of the DABC store on East 300 downtown, the changing exhibits in the Rio Grande depot.

And now, the exhibit at Himalayan Kitchen.

The restaurant, which moved around the corner to State Street from 400 South this year, presents an exhibit of photographs, "The Himalayan Kingdom" by Joel Addams. The show opens January 15 and runs through March 3, and a percentage of proceeds benefits Dr. Geoff Tabin's
"Himalayan Cataract Project."

Opening night is January 15; refreshments will be served and the restaurant will be open.

About This Blog

A lack of serious ambition, a love of cooking and a degree in Latin naturally led to a career in food writing for Mary Brown Malouf.

Her 25 years of experience has included stints as executive editor of D magazine in Dallas, Texas; executive editor at wine.com in Napa, California; and restaurant critic for The Salt Lake Tribune.

Now, she’s the dining editor for Salt Lake magazine, where she writes about the food scene in Salt Lake City and beyond. Check in regularly for the latest restaurant news, great products from local purveyors, and conversation about all things gustatory.

If you have news, tips or other information about the dining scene you'd like to share, email Mary.
