For those of us—and there are many—who just can't face roasting one more Butterball, the Blue Boar Inn & Restaurant will offer a special Thanksgiving Day menu from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The menu starts with spicy roasted butternut squash soup with pumpkin seed pesto, peaks with honey-black crusted turkey served with Boursin mashed potatoes, spinach and mushroom stuffing and herbed gravy and ends with traditional pumpkin pie.

Executive Chef Eric May will also prepare three less traditional, Thanksgiving entrées:  a house-seasoned prime rib au jus with a sour cream and horseradish twice-baked potato and roasted broccoli and carrots; a pork tenderloin with roasted asparagus and a sour cherry demi sauce; and a pan-seared salmon with blue cheese and pumpkin risotto, roasted broccoli and spiced cranberry sauce. If you're over pumpkin pie, you can order apple strudel served with vanilla ice cream or chocolate tart with Nutella. Reservations required; call 888-650-1400.
