Salt Lake is a bi-monthly glossy regional publication focused on dining, arts and entertainment, local issues, personalities, and living well in Utah. Salt Lake has won numerous industry awards; it is the recipient of the Western Publications Association's 2008 Maggie for Best City/Regional magazine. Published by JES Publishing, Salt Lake has been Utah's guide to the good life since 1989.

Letters
Your thoughts and comments are important to us. All letters to the editor are proofread for style and grammar. We reserve the right to withhold any letters deemed inappropriate for publication. To submit a letter, see address listed below or Email to editor@saltlakemagazine.com.

Datebook
Where to go, and what to see and do in and around Utah, Salt Lake City, and surrounding areas. Please submit information regarding fundraisers, art openings, plays, readings, concerts, dance, or other performances, etc., at least two months prior to the event. Deadline for entries in an upcoming Datebook is the first of the month, three months prior to issue publication. (e.g., to list an event in the March/April Datebook, submit information by December 1; for the May/June issue, the deadline is February 1). Address submissions to Dan Nailen.

Dining Guide
Our comprehensive listing of restaurants around the state. A reliable resource for fine and casual dining for residents and tourists. For more information about the Dining Guide, call Mary Brown Malouf at 801-485-5100 ext. 17.

People
A photo collage of recent social gatherings and events in Salt Lake City and the Intermountain West. All photographs submitted to People should be accompanied by a brief description of the event (who, what, where, and when). Photos will be returned only upon request. Submissions should be addressed "People," attention Jeremy Pugh.

Story Queries
Salt Lake magazine is a bi-monthly publication that caters to educated, affluent, and active citizens of the Intermountain West. We at Salt Lake magazine value the concerns, ideas, and interests of our readers. All story queries should be submitted by mail, with an SASE, to the editor (see address below). Generally, our features profile people around the state, outdoor activities and attractions, and historical aspects of Utah.

It is our goal to respond to all queries; however, due to the large volume that we receive, this may not be possible.

Features vary from 1,000 to 5,000 words in length. Articles are usually assigned to a core group of freelance writers, but we are always eager to consider new writers and their ideas.

Queries should give clear, detailed descriptions of article ideas. We accept written queries only; they should reflect familiarity with the magazine's content and tone. We also request three published writing samples.
