New Sweetie

Corn syrup is evil. Sugar is old school. Maple syrup is so ’80s, and honey does not play well with other flavors. Meet your new sweetie: agave syrup, a thick, fragrant sweetener that gives you a bee-worthy sense of nectar. Xagave is made in Utah from a blend of organic blue agave nectars. It’s sweeter than sugar (so you use less), has a low glycemic index and contains nutrients like calcium and iron. Sweeten tea, coffee or—my fave—cocktails.

Find Xagave at natural and health food stores and at Liberty Heights Fresh, 1290 S. 1100 East, SLC, 801-583-7374
