Freestyle skiing is a sport for daredevils, featuring high jumps, flips and acrobatic twists, and the U.S. Women’s Freestyle Ski Team trains in Park City at Utah Olympic Park. We wondered who we’d find underneath the goggles and helmets, so we asked four of the team’s top athletes to join us for the day at Deer Valley to introduce you to winter’s coziest fashions. Meet Allison Treleaven and Lacy Schnoor, aerials competitors, and Shannon Bahrke and Ani Haas, who rock the moguls competitions. After a hard day on (and above) the slopes, it’s nice to unwind by the fire.
On location at Deer Valley Resort
Deer Valley was rated the #1 ski resort in North America in 2008 and 2009 by the readers of SKI magazine, and it provided the perfect setting for our winter fashion shoot—we cuddled up in the Empire Canyon Lodge. It’s also the place to see our athlete models fly. The resort will host the Visa Freestyle International from January 29 to 31 (Park City Mountain Resort is hosting the half-pipe event).
