Salt Lake magazine started publishing 20 years ago, when Utah was a different place. A skier’s secret, the LDS Church’s Vatican City, a fly-over state for the other 49, Utah was an enigma to the rest of the world. In the last two decades, all that has changed, thanks to a group of hard-willed, earnest, brilliant, defiant and determined folks who brought the Beehive State onto the world’s stage.
