It started in Los Angeles with the Sprinkles stores. Cupcake bakeries have now spread across the country, and Salt Lake City has three. Cuteness, fueled by copious swirls of buttercream, is the common goal with cupcakes.

  • SO CUPCAKE 3939 S. Highland Drive, SLC, 801-274-8300 Betcha can’t eat just one. Take home a rainbow assortment—from red velvet to blueberry—of their bite-size or full-size beauties.
