...And by us we mean not just SLmag but, you know, the end of talking, real interaction - being social ...with actual people.

So, Flipboard is an app for Ipad that basically is an aggregator. It takes all your junk (Facebook, Twitter, stuff you read) and puts it all on one page to look like (so they claim), ready? 'A magazine.'

But, it's your own magazine, you know, personalized. Because God forbid the dialogue ever go beyond you and your needs again.

And that real experiences be, like, shared (in person); that'd be ...um, awful.

In less than a month since launch, about 3.6 million folks have uploaded the (free) Flipboard apps - recently their server crashed because of demand.

Apparently the onslaught gave them enough juice to hire Clarence 'Lumpy' Rutherford to be the spokesman (reference was for our own Mary Malouf - you're welcome MM).

So, yeah - love the way the pitchman ignores his peeps while he's playing with himself/watching what they're doing.

Or, as one SLmag staffer put it: 'What happens when your magazine/your friends' magazine(s) are all just free porn?'

Guess we'll have to watch and see.
