SLmag's top five ways to make the kids laugh this week
1. Finally, clean stand-up
John Moyer wrote, directed and starred in Mobsters and Mormons. He was also behind The Singles Ward and The R.M. for Halestorm. He's coming to the Draper Amphitheatre with Aaron Burrell (voted Best Clean Comedian), and tix are $5 in advance.
2. Sailors take warning
Not long ago, I reviewed Robin Hood: Boys in the Hood at the Off-Broadway. It was one of the funniest shows I've seen this year, so lets hope the theatre does right again with H.M.S. Pinafore. The captain's daughter is in love with a poor sailer, but her father demands she marry the First Lord of the Admiralty. Hilarity ensues.
H.M.S Pinafore Off Broadway Theatre, premieres 7:30 p.m. July 30 Click here for tix
3. Bruce Willis as a raccoon for $1
Watch PG- and G-rated movies at all Cinemark theatres with the kids for $1 per head. Jordan Landing show Over the Hedge, which is hilarious, this Thursday and Friday. Shrek the Third next week. Click here for the full line-up.

5. Free Cookies!!!!
Just in case you missed Mary Malouf's blog on Rico Market giving out free cookies on Wednesday. Nothing's better than making the kids laugh when they have their mouths stuffed with cookies. Actually, don't do that. They'll choke... If you do, it's not our fault.
