I just got a new place in the great city of Centerville, and I'm supposed to move in on Labor Day. Renting the U-Haul, buying the furniture and letting everyone in on my new address— all big time sucks. So, hopefully I'll still get to do everything I have planned before we're no longer supposed to wear white.

Here's my list of things to do around Salt Lake before Labor Day.

1. Buy Tix to Bobcat

I know tickets to see Bobcat Goldthwait at Wiseguy's will probably not sell out, but I'm not going to take that chance. The star of Shakes the Clown and Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol is one of my favorites. He'll be at the West Valley City location on Sept. 17 and 18. Click here for more info on the show and tix.

2. So long, Colossus

Lagoon, it's what fun is. But it's also no longer open every day starting Sunday, Aug. 22. Sit out this weekend, and you'll have to wait till Frightmares to get back in on a weekday. Click here for tix.

3. The Fly bird show at Tracy Aviary

One of my goals is to just become a member of the aviary, so I can get in any time I want. It's cheaper than the gym and actually more of a stress relief for me. $20 for an individual membership, which also gives you discounts to Hogle Zoo and Living Planet Aquarium. But the best part of being at the aviary, the bird show, ends Labor Day weekend. Click here to become a member.

3. Seasonal Fruits

August is actually my favorite month for produce. Cucumbers, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, apricots, corn, eggplant, green beans, tomatoes and plums are all in season right now. Hit the Downtown Farmer's Market at Pioneer Park on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Click here for more info. http://www.downtownslc.org/farmers-market

5. Does it matter if your murse is white, or is it just pants?

Either way, I better add some red to my wardrobe. A recent study shows women find men in red much sexier than those wearing any other color, and they look pretty good themselves with it, too. Click here for our story on the study.
