Local Stacy Burningham loves animals, and if last night is any hint, birds especially.

She held her 40th birthday party at the Tracy Aviary's Chase Mill and opened it to the public for food, dancing, karaoke and a silent auction raising money for the Aviary. Evelopes at the entrance were available to make optional donations as well.

Items in the auction ranged from local artists work to a giant gift basket from Liberty Heights Fresh.

Early in the evening, Stacy arranged workshops on Kalari dance/martial art, Anusara and Yin yoga. Each was taught by a professional instructor, just one way to loosen up before the big party.

"After everything that happened with the oil spill here in Liberty Park, it's really important we support places like the Aviary," says Stacy, who also covered all expenses for the party.
