Thanksgiving is almost here, and on Black Friday the kids have school off and you're office is closed. You'll already be with family, so you might as well have some fun.

After you hit all the midnight sales and buy everyone on your list the perfect gift, visit the Grand America to get the holidays started. This weekend also marks the last showing of The Frog Prince at The Children's Theatre and the opening of Miracle on 3rd and Main at The Off-Broadway Theatre, as well as the annual Ogden Holiday Light Parade.

Miracle on 3rd and Main

Parody of the Christmas classic, Miracle on 34th Street, Santa Claus is forced into a competency hearing. The show will make you believe in Old St. Nick again and laugh like crazy the rest of the night. Off Broadway is family friendly and always seems to give some nods to the locals in the crowd. Check back to this site for a review on Saturday night's show.

Shows run 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 26 and 27 and every Friday, Saturday and Monday through Dec. 27. Special shows will be added on some Thursday nights, and the matinee performance is 2 p.m. Dec. 18.

Last Chance: Frog Prince

This show has been selling out like crazy, so you better get your tix for this weekend right now. The Children's Theatre Mainstage Production is based on the Brothers Grimm story of a spoiled princess who befriends a frog when she drops a gold ball in his pond. Of course, he was never really a "frog." The best thing about this theater is the amazing amount of imagination they put into all of their shows. Don't miss it!

Shows run 7 p.m. Nov. 26, 1 p.m. Nov. 27 and 4:30 p.m. Nov. 27
