Christmas, Radio City Style

The Radio City Rockettes will spread holiday cheer beyond NYC this year on the Christmas Spectacular tour, making its way to the Maverik Center Nov. 26 to 29. See the Parade of the Wooden Soldiers, a living nativity and of course, eye-high kicks. 3200 S. Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City, 801-988-8888, tickets are $29 to $95 and available at

Suit Up and Get Fit

There's feasting ahead. The average Thanksgiving dinner has 4,000 calories, and you're just going to repeat your gluttony at Christmas. Sign up for the Ogden Santa Run, a 5K jog that will lift your spirits and burn calories at the same time. Everyone is required to wear a Santa suit (hat, beard and long-sleeved Santa T-shirt are provided at registration), and Santa's helpers pass out cookies and milk along the way. Stick around for the lighting of the Ogden Christmas Village.

Ogden Christmas Village

Bundle up, and peek into the windows of about 60 amazingly detailed cottages at the Ogden Christmas Village in the Municipal Park for free from Nov. 27 to New Year's Day. Santa comes nightly Monday through Saturday, Mrs. Claus leads village tours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and live entertainment hits the amphitheater stage Tuesday through Friday. Opening day also includes the 5K Santa Run, light parade, park lighting ceremony and fireworks. 2549 Washington Blvd., Ogden, 801-629-8284
