I can't seem to put my finger on it. The lack of motivation, the writer's block, the lethargy. Ryan suggested that I might be depressed- ala that Post-Olympic- Depression Syndrome that effected thousands after the 2002 Winter Games. Except my version is Post-January-Depression.

The Consumer Electronics Show, The Outdoor Retailer Show, a 10-day visit from Ryan's family, the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and a PSIA Steeps Camp in Jackson Hole, Wyo. That was my January. I should be ecstatic that my February has more white space than a Blue Book at exam time but I'm a zombie.

Sundance- it's gone. All packed up. Even the mounds of trash and playbills have been swept up. The send-off is bittersweet. On the one hand, I'm relieved but on the other, I miss the commotion, the energy, the style, the scramble to get from one appointment to another, to a screening to a party.

I'm eyeing the supplements I got from the Utah Usana reps at Kari Feinstein's Style Lounge during Sundance.

They were there promoting 'stick packs' of Probiotic that you dissolve in water and drink for a healthier stomach and immune system. At this point, however, I'm eyeing their bottle of "Pure Rest" melatonin that is supposed to promote sleep and defend against stress. That way my head won't mill over the happy times I shared with Terrence Howard as he collected Rockport shoes.

I can't stop thinking about those Naomi Pumps with their shock absorbing heel, latex arch support, breathable polyurethane in the forefoot so you won't get sticky, sweaty toes, and a rubber outsole for durable grip on Utah pavement; loved by Carmen Electra. I wonder when they'll arrive...

Most women would sparkle if they were handed a 120 Colors Palette of eyeshadow from bhcosmetics but the choices just confuse me.

And then my new earrings from Saint Vintage Designs. The small crystal flakes were handpicked for me by the artist and cancer survivor Paige Jansen-Nichols. She uses vintage beads and charms she finds at estate sales and flea markets and weaves them into gorgeous lariat-style necklaces, bracelets and earrings. They will make the coolest Valentine's Day gifts and a portion of her sales go to cancer research.

The Obermeyer Kassidy Down Sweater perked me up when I put it on yesterday.

But then I had to bury it under the Oakley Tiers Jacket to beat the chill of our -8 temps.

Ah, the Oakley Learn To Ride Lounge at the Downstairs Bar. I never got to go out with the gang and ride but I did get a nifty outfit. I ran into Andie MacDowell and her daughter again (this time with One Tree Hill's Michael Copon) and they were having so much fun sifting through the women's collection (the girls not Michael).

At least it was sunny today so I could wear my Oakley Frog Skinz and feel like one of those "real" celebrities.

I'm back to the daily grind and more so. I've written all my elegant thank you notes on Tiselle letterpress cards (even Rob Lowe got some!) and I return to my Utah bubble.

That's where my bathroom pipes burst from the cold, I'm covered in drywall dust, there's no fresh powder to shake my funk and no swag lounge to dazzle me. What's a girl to do now? I guess shower and make some turns on the groomers. There's also the USSA World Freestyle Comps going on but not really today. The slopestyle finals just ended. Hey, I know! I can get my brakes checked and then reregister my car which came up for renewal last month. Just sounds like so much fun compared to gifting and movies. *Note* sarcasm.

OK, I'm even depressing myself. The FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships is a pretty cool event to catch and will surely lift anyone's spirits.
