But if you want to change things a bit this year, and avoid turning into a couch potato, we picked some kid-friendly dance-related events to get moving over Super Bowl weekend.
Aerial Arts of Utah, 4:45 p.m. Friday

You know those amazing aerial dancers you see at Cirque du Soleil. Well, they had to start somewhere, too. Aerial Arts of Utah gives $18 classes to test out the dance style to see if it's right for you before any long-term commitment. They have courses for preteens, teens and adults so it's a great mom/daughter activity.
Upcoming preview courses will be held on Feb. 4, Feb. 18, March 4, March 18, April 1, April 15. All courses are held at Sugar Space.

Ririe Woodbury at the Covey Center for the Arts, 7:30 p.m. Saturday
Fresh off their international tour, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company performs in Provo. They're known for innovative, energetic performances and will probably inspire you to get moving as well. This is a good one for the whole fam. $20 for balcony seats, $25 for the main floor.

Lion Dancing at the Vietnamese Lunar New Year
It's the year of the Cat, which means it's the perfect time for lion dancing. It's something you have to see first-hand, and you'll get home in time for kick off. It only goes from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m. Plus, it's free!
