We already know they're winners: Chef Michael Richey of Pago (around here we lovingly call him Mr. Whiskey) and Chefs Viet Pham and Bowman Brown of Forage have all received Salt Lake magazine Dining Awards in the past. Now they are all nominees in the Food & Wine magazine-sponsored contest, The People's Best New Chef Award.
Online voting will determine a winner from each region - Utah is in the Southwest region, along with chefs from Texas, Arizona and Colorado. The winner will be profiled in the July issue of Food & Wine, along with the annual list of America's Best New Chefs.
