Every year, the ChefDance event during Sundance Film Festival brings in top-notch nationally recognized chefs to cook a one-night stand dinner. Every year, Utah chefs compete in a Nicholas & Co.-sponsored cook-off to win the honor of being the only local chef in the ChefDance's star chef line-up.Now why should you care?
Some locals ante up ($500 per person) and make the rather large effort to drive up the snowy mountain, find a parking space (hah!) and eat this exclusive menu. But, not so many.
This past February, Faustina's Executive Chef Billy Sotelo was our Utahn in the kitchen - you may remember reading about it here.
And now, for the first time, Chef Sotelo is re-creating that menu in his own restaurant kitchen.
On Saturday March 26 from 4:30 - 10 pm. you'll be able to eat like the stars for just $50 per person, plus a $20 wine menu to match.
Faustina will be serving this menu (see below) only on this one evening. Each guest will receive a "rating card" with menu items outlined so they can take over my job for the evening and "rate" the quality of the dishes from 1 to 5. One card will be randomly drawn after the event for a $50 gift card to Faustina. Fun! Make reservations now: 801-746-4441 or www.faustinaslc.com..
