All in the Family It's all about family in Utah. Our birthrates top the chart, the Family History Library in SLC is the world's largest genealogical library, and you'll save money on sports events if it's Monday or "family" night. In honor of our family-centric state, we created our own family, the Utahns. Each member is unique, talented and deserves Best of the Beehive recognition.

Head-of-the-Fam: Scott Anderson President and CEO of Zions First National Bank Scott's the father figure at Zions Bank and on about 20 different community boards, including The Leonardo museum, which opens this summer. During Sundance, he works to bring business to Utah. Join Dad at Zions Bank's Neighborhood Breakfast on July 8.

Pioneering Mom: Becky Lockhart Utah Speaker of the House Becky is Utah's first female speaker of the House, but she focuses more on the skills than the gender she brings to the job. The House used minimal rainy-day funds and didn't raise taxes for the state budget this year, and she supported a repeal of HB 477, which limits access to government records.

Rockin' Older Brother: Stu Maxfield of Fictionist Stu and his band Fictionist have toured like crazy the past three years, playing small venues and opening for big names. Fans recently voted them to the top four in Rolling Stone's cover contest. Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath even gave Fictionist props, saying they wouldn't open for his band again, because next time they'll be headliners.

Sporty Older Sister: Stephanie MacCalister University of Utah Gymnastics Utes gymnastics had a great season and set a new record for the largest crowd ever to watch NCAA women's gymnastics at their last home meet. Stephanie stepped up this year when a teammate was injured and will lead next year's team to even more success.

Artsy Little Sister: Sherel Barnes local artist Sherel was the featured artist at the University of Utah Women's Week, and the talented 16-year-old amazed us. She also volunteered with The Go Girlz, a program to expose disadvantaged girls to higher ed.

Brainy Little Brother: Rajdeep Trilokekar Wasatch Junior High academic team captain The National Academic League gives smart junior high kids the chance to represent their schools in competition, and Rajdeep is one of the smartest. This year, Wasatch's team became national champions.

Tough Uncle: DaMarques Johnson Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter DaMarques started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after joining the army, and later became runner-up on The Ultimate Fighter. He recently won via the body triangle submission, only done once before in the UFC. He's really more of a smart-ass, funny uncle; unless someone needs to be punished.

Cool Aunt: Deena Marie Manzanares local actress Deena's an actress, model and Youtube star; watch her channels BeanerLaRue and MissDeenaMarie. She recently promoted the 2011 Ford Fiesta with monthly vids, and now she's ready to perform in A Doll's House at the Jeanne Wagner Theatre on Aug. 28. We follow her on Twitter @DeenaMarie

Gift-bearing Godfather: Jason Mathis Executive Director of the Downtown Alliance Jason and the DTA bring SLC programs like the Downtown Farmer's Market and EVE - which keeps getting better. Right now, the DTA is working on a year-round public market and a streetcar system.
