Pop-punk Duo Matt and Kim play In the Venue Monday Night

Like the past few weeks, some great times await during the upcoming weekend, but there are still a few fun options earlier in the week starting Monday night.

A funky dance party awaits tonight at In The Venue as the punky dance rockers Matt and Kim pay a visit. This promises to be a hipster dance party of the highest order. So break out your skinniest jeans and your funkiest attitude. Seriously, this promises to be a fine time. Tickets remain on sale at smithstix.com and start at $20.50. The Thermals and Autobot from Flosstradamus are the openers. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Here's their official video for "Cameras." Watch it and try to focus on the music, not the hilarious fight between the duo.

On Wednesday, oh-so talented Norwegian singer-songwriter Sondre Lerche hits The Urban Lounge. This is one of those time where it's worth braving the late start times at the UL to see a concert. And it's far enough back into the week, that being able to power to the weekend won't be too tough. This guy's worth it. Tickets remain on sale at 24tix.com. Nightlands and Kishi Bashi are the openers. Check out the video from his latest release.
