The Civil Wars return to the State Room on Tuesday night. As regular readers of this space know, I see at least one concert a week - every week. I point that out only to provide context to the following statement. The 30-minute segment of music that started the first Civil Wars gig here back in January was a jaw-dropper - one of the most stunning blasts of music I can remember seeing. The crowd was floored - as was the duo from the reaction they received.
With that in mind, they're returning Tuesday night and as a result, they're playing to one of the least-surprising sell outs of the concert year. Hope you got your ticket. But if now, there are often some for sale outside the door and people usually aren't looking to make a profit, just retrieve what they paid. Inside the State Room, it'll be interesting to see if they can replicate January's synapse-snapper.
