On a recent Tuesday night, four of us met early to not only visit but to enjoy Cucina Toscana' s summer fare.
Every course was a mouthwatering delight. From the melon curls on a bed of arugula drizzled with a light vinaigrette to a grilled apple topped with the freshest of lump crab meat to a carpacio of peaches served with a sweet cherry and almond dressing; our culinary senses were put on high alert.
The oohs and ahhs emanating from our table did not end with these seasonal delights. We had the audacity to order two entrees: an ethereal handmade ravioli floating in a sage butter sauce and a fresh grilled halibut dish with a lemon finish. All our choices were wise until we got to the end of this appetizing journey. And then the creme brulee sent us around the bend.
We were finally satiated and ready to end both the visit and the dining, but not before admitting it was one of the best summer meals we had ever experienced. Try Cucina Toscana soon, and experience the flavors of summer, the nuances of Tuscany, a la Valter Nassi.
