So much to check out with the kids this weekend. Start the weekend off with a cute play at The Children's Theatre about a tailor whose boastful ways catch the attention of a giant. On Saturday, catch an early performance of Fully Charged, Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey's new show. Lastly, top things off with a beer (snow cones for the kids) at the Harvest Moon Celebration in Ogden's historic 25th Street.
FRIDAY and SATURDAY
The Brave Little Tailor
This German fairy tale comes to life on the Children's Theate's stage. It follows the story of a tailor, who prepares to eat jam when flies settle on his food. He swats seven of the flies with one blow. Inspired by the incident, he makes a belt that says "Seven at one blow."
A giant assumes the belt is referring to seven men and challenges the tailor to strong-man contest.
The play teaches kids about diversity and why its wrong to be a bully.
