Art Meets Fashion is back in the Beehive this weekend with a chic Saturday night event showcasing work by local designers and artists. Ticketsare still available, and it's a don't-miss for art and fashion lovers (and honestly, who doesn't love art and fashion?).

"It's really quite an eclectic event," says Anne Cumming-Anderson, who curated the exhibition with Heidi M. Guess. Showing mediums ranging from video installations to photography, the event revolves across a "Deconstructing Venus" theme that flows throughout the runway shows and art exhibits.

All the pomp of high fashion will be on display, with runway shows featuring the clothing of local designers Shelly Huynh, Andrea Black, DesNeiges Gregory, Danny Nappi, Andrea Hansen, Mary Rino and Roberto Leone, and a selection of student designs from Salt Lake Fashion Institute. Twenty-five art exhibits by John Bell, Tyler Bloomquist, Trent Alvey, Shalee Cooper, Jason Wheatley, Dennis Mecham, Adrian Prazen, Anne Cummings-Anderson, Robin Ballard and Dennis Reynolds, Meredith Prevot, Trent Call, Gia Whitlock, Camilla Taylor, Sri Whipple, Kathryn Stedham, Hilary Wilkinson, Adrian Wagonner, Heidi M. Gress, Ashley Bennett Stoddard, Zuzanna Audette, Kat Cottam Martin, Jordan Halversen and Lindsay Frei will also be on display.

The festivities kicked off Thursday night with a private showing at the newly opened SLC Photo Collective of work by local photographer Zuzanna Audette, who also shot all the art for Art Meets Fashion. Her work will be sold during the main event Saturday, with half of all proceeds going to the YWCA of Salt Lake. (Ticket sales from AMF will also go to the organization.)

Of course, delicious nibblies from local restaurants and wine courtesy of Odom Spirits West will be served at The Art of Food & Wine tasting stations, which is sponsored by Salt Lake magazine. Fill up and dance the night away.

The venue is located at 304 W. 700 South in SLC and begins at 6 p.m. and lasts until 10 p.m. Tickets are $50 for general admission and $25 for students.
