On Monday night, a talented singer/songwriter from Boston, Ryan Montbleu will be in Park City at the Downstairs venue. When with his band, Montbleu is too much fun to pass by. Tickets are $10. Here is the RMB with "Chariot (I Know)."
A fun night of Americana roots/stomping music happens Tuesday night when New York's The Felice Brothers hit The State Room. I saw these guys a few years back on the University of Utah campus and while they were a tad outshined by the opening act - Deer Tick - they are definitely good enough to warrant another viewing. An added bonus is that Old Crow Medicine Show's Gil Landry is the opener. Landry plays guitar, banjo and sings in OCMS - which recently announced a hiatus. Tickets are still available at The State Room's website. Check out the Felice Bros.' video for "Ponzi."
Also, on Tuesday night - please note that a previously announced concert at The Complex featuring Pogo and That 1 Guy was canceled. Refunds are available through smithstix.com. But elsewhere, you can roll up to Park City for a chance to see The Official Blues Brothers Revue tribute act at the Egyptian Theater. As a huge fan of the movie and its music, I could certainly think of worse ways to spend a few hours.
Also, "The Wizard of Oz" is continuing its run this week with multiple showings at the Grand Theatre on the Salt Lake City Community College campus on South State Street. Click here for ticket info: the-grand.org.
