Buster Burger is just as dedicated to giving back to the community as they are to making a delicious burger. And 14-year-old Kendra is a local quadriplegic whose parents need help affording a lift to their van for her wheelchair.

This past May, Kendra was on a hammock when it collapsed and brought the brick column holding it up with it. Kendra broke her spine, ribs, neck, clavicle and scapula and spent most of her summer at Primary Children's Hospital. Now, she's back in school, but her parents have to lift her wheelchair every time she's given a ride in the family van. They have been saving money for a lift, but cannot yet afford it.

So, the community is helping out.

A benefit will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m at the restaurant, 1078 W. 10600 South, South Jordan.

Visitors are invited to wear their Halloween costumes, participate in their carnival games and bake sale. Kendra will be the guest of honor during this celebration. Visit busterburger.com for more info.
