Calling all female athletes, experienced and inexperienced alike. Are you sick of letting the boys have all the fun? Are you looking for a way to stay in shape despite all the turkey and pumpkin pie? The Utah Jynx, Utah's premiere women's football team, will be holding tryouts on Dec. 10 to fill their 60-player roster.

Last season, the team won five out of eight games, and the Jynx had one of the best game records in the Mountain/Northwest Pacific states. In 2011, they had the opportunity to play several other high-level female football teams including the Sacramento Sirens, Las Vegas Showgirlz, and the Ventura Blackwidows. Channel 19 provides game day coverage, and this is a great way to be part of a team, whether you're a seasoned veteran of the sport or you can barely tell a tackle from a touchdown.

Find out what you're getting yourself into with this video from the Jynx's free 10-week mini camp, which ran from Sept. 10-Nov. 12:

The first practices will be in Jan, and preseason starts in mid-March. For more information, visit the Utah Jynx's official website, their facebook page, or email them at
