The gala, part fund-raiser, part celebration, part see-and-be-seen moment, was packed. I thought I was early as I made my way up Wakara Way to the new museum only to pull into a line of cars waiting to unload well-heeled and well-dressed passengers. The event allowed ticket holders a chance to float through the exhibits with a glass of wine and canapé or two. Every one of the museum's five floors was packed with celebrants. Here's a blurry look at last night via camera phone (and some previous images from a hard hat tour).
Oh yeah. The museum is now open for educational business at 301 Wakara Way (adjacent to the Red Butte Garden reception center) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (open until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays).
