Want this?
Do this.
No doubt about it, paperwhites have to be the easiest holiday bloomers to force. Do it now and you'll have beautiful, fragrant blossoms for Christmas. Here's how:
Choose a tall glass container (with no drainage holes) and place about two inches of rinsed pebbles or glass beads in the bottom. Place the bulbs—root-side down on top. Add just enough tepid water so that it submerges the lower portions of the bulbs. Maintain this water level. Note: To prevent the water from smelling, add a couple of tablespoons of rinsed aquarium charcoal to the pebbles before adding the bulbs and water.
You should have blooms in four to six weeks. Once the blossoms die, throw the bulbs away as they won't flower again.
