Utah's Jewish community and their guests are invited to skate several hours for free on the Gallivan Center's rink to traditional music, followed by latkes, sufganiyah (jelly donuts) and Utah's largest indoor menorah lighting.

After a hard-fought victory for religious freedom, the Maccabees returned to their temple with enough oil to light the holy lamp for one day, but it lasted eight. Now, Rabbi Benny Zippel of Chabad Lubavitch of Utah celebrates every year with Chanukah on Ice.
