Whether people are legitimately interested or whether they're just attempting to avoid awkward silences, this seems to be the most popular question during the first couple weeks in January. But how often do you hear the question, "what did you do on the first day of the new year?" Rarely, right? Well, Matt Chiodo, curator of Alpine Art, asked 24 talented local photographers this very question, and then he asked for the photos to back it up.
For 24 hours on Jan. 1, 24 photographers took 24 pictures. Now they're going to be in an exhibit called "24x24" at the Alpine Art Gallery. Cool idea, right? We think so.
The "24x24" exhibition will run from Feb. 17 to April 18 at Alpine Art Gallery, 430 E South Temple. For more information, contact Alpine Art at 801-355-1155 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Featured photographers will include: Kelly Green, Bob Plumb, Zoe Rodriguez, Laura Ferguson, Cat Palmer, Trish Empey, Gerry Johnson, Jeff Clay, Tom Thompson, Jillian Cameron, Zuzanna Audette, Amanda Moore, Spencer Davis, Simon Blundell, Drake Busath, Christine Baczek, Celine Downen, Robert Hall, Michael Slade, Dave Brewer, Ann Torrence, Shalee Cooper, Renee Keith and Anne Cummings-Anderson.
