It's looking like a fun, busy week - again - so let's get right to our best options. On Monday night, there's three viable options and I about had to flip a coin to decide which show I was going to take in. At In The Venue, indie songwriter Mat Kearney brings his unique blend of mainstream hiptop in for what should be a good time. He's touring behind his "Young Love" release. At The State Room, veteran bluegrass pickers Drew Emmit and Bill Nershi, pictured above, bring their joint project back to SLC. This quartet is a serious bluegrass jam and enough random rock covers thrown in to make it interesting for non-grass folks too. The two-set concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets remain available at the venue's website.

As if that weren't enough for a Monday night in February, The Urban Lounge and KRCL are bringing in Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks. Malkmus, the former leader of Pavement, has been leading the Jicks for some time now and they're supposed to have a bombastic live show in store. Nurses are the opener - and they're a worthwhile young band to boot. Tickets remain on sale.

On Tuesday, don't miss a chance to do something fun with your sweetheart as it's Valentine's Day - or for some of you Singles' Awareness Day - either way have a good time. And if you like mainstream country that sounds more like Journey than Hank Williams, Lady Antebellum will be at EnergySolutions Arena for a 7 p.m. show, fresh off their big night at the Grammy's.

Also, a true blast of vintage metal rolls into The Depot on Wednesday night as Bay area rockers Testament roll through. And the most famous lineup is back together for this visit. Tickets remain on sale for the 9 p.m. concert.
