The legacy of a 19th century piece of legislation lives on at the Utah State Capitol this month.
Utah Arts and Museums is holding an exhibition of works from the State Fine Art Collection at the capitol. Utah Arts and Museums, as well as its fine art collection, is the result of a piece of legislation authored by state Representative Alice Merrill Horne in 1899. The artwork, painted by Utah artists over two centuries will be presented in conjunction with the Capitol Preservation Board.
