Two great family plays start this weekend at two of the area's best family theaters. One for your youngest, and one for the kid who's allowed to stay up later… because at the Off Broadway, you'll probably also want to see Laughing Stock.

Cinderella & the Glass Slipper

Families with kids ages four and up are invited to watch one of the most celebrated fairytales every at The Children's Theatre's new stage.

As if you didn't know, Cinderella is forced into housework by her stepmother and wicked step sisters. One day, the Prince invites all young ladies in the land to a beautiful ball so he can find a wife. Cinderella's sisters say she'd never be welcome at a royal ball, but we're pretty sure she proves them wrong.

The show runs May 18–26 on Fridays  at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 1 and 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.
