Yikes it's almost Father's Day!

What does Dad really want? Pickles? That's what was suggested by one press release I received.

Guess it depends on your particular Dear Old. Mine, as head of a food obsessed family, would certainly think pickles beat out a tie or some such nonsense. Look how happy he is with a grilled shrimp!

Okay, there's some wine in the picture that may be contributing to that grin. In any case, it's not a pickle face.

Lots of places are catering to Dadly appetites this Sunday. For example:

Fleming's in Gateway is serving a 3-course brunch; $34.95 per person, served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., children's menu available and a $25 gift card as a gift to Dad.

And finally, the fourth annual Brewfest is returning to Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort (9600 Little Cottonwood Canyon Road,  Snowbird,) this year with a new Brewers Dinner added to a weekend of beer-filled fun.

Representatives from local breweries will assist with food and beer pairings; Snowbird chefs will create brew-inspired food for the Brewer Dinner, paired with beer from Ruby River, Hoppers, Uinta, Epic, Wasatch, Squatters and Bohemian breweries. Each attendee will receive a Snowbird Aerial Tram foot passenger ticket and a Brewfest mug. The Brewer Dinner will be served buffet-style on the Atrium patio at The Cliff Lodge on June 16 from 6-10 p.m. Dinner and beer will cost $49 per person (enjoy dinner and a night at The Cliff Lodge for $99 per person.)
