Food tastes better when it's made with love, and brothers-in-law Pat Ford and Tim Welsh are that passionate about their handmade cheese. That's why the cheese from Beehive Cheese Co. tastes so good.
Ford and Welsh gave up on the wild life of real state and trade it in for quiet mornings sitting with 500 gallons of farm milk and mixing it for hours in order to produce their unique cheese. It all started in 2005, with a dream to bring a local creamery to northern Utah. With the help of Western Dairy Center at Utah State University, they finally realized their goal.
Some of their greatest and most-awarded cheeses are the unique espresso and lavender hand-rubbed Barely Buzzed, the Irish-style Promontory cheese, and the Apple Walnut Smoked cheese made with local Utah walnut shells and slices of red apple.
If your mouth just started watering, like ours, visit the Beehive Cheese Co. stand on Saturday mornings at the Downtown's Farmers' Market at Pioneer Park from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. or visit their website and place an order.
