October is nearly over, but we couldn't let Breast Cancer Awareness Month go by without plugging a way to get your calcium and help fight breast cancer.
One of Winder Farms' most popular milks, Strawberry, adopted a cause in May of this year to help raise money and awareness to battle breast cancer. Teaming up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Winder Farms will donate a portion of their Strawberry Milk sales to Susan G. Komen for the Cure to be used towards breast cancer screening, treatment programs and research. Since the promotion's start in May already $2,500 has been raised from sales of the 16 oz. and half-gallon bottles.
While Winder Farms feels the community has responded positively and supported the efforts to raise money, they hope that because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month it will end with even higher support and raise even more money.
This is Winder Farms first promotional event with strawberry milk, but they look forward to raising more money for breast cancer awareness in the upcoming year. For more information, visit the Winder Farms website here.
