Caffe Niche is offering a four-course Valentine's Day menu for $50, with specials featuring local meats, seasonal produce and fresh seafood. Chef and owner Ethan Lappe has constructed the menu to start off with a soup or salad, then several choice appetizer options with a delicious entree to follow. To end the romantic evening, Lappe has created several spectacular desserts that will leave his patrons absolutely satisfied and wanting more. In addition, there will be a new cocktail menu available, along with a revamped wine list to complement the delicacies that will be served.
"I wanted to create an intimate menu that reflects the best of what we do all year," said Lappe. "It's a great way to introduce our diners to what we can do on special occasions where we dial things up a notch."

House Cured Duck Confit
Cured for 10 days, braised in extra virgin olive oil, organic arugula, lemon vinaigrette, orange gastrique.
Domestic Sweet Prawns
Dusted in Spanish paprika, local organic white beans with local chorizo.
Balsamic Braised Organic Beets
Goat cheese creme, roasted macadamia nuts, local micro greens.
"Living" butter lettuce, Hawaiian deep water red crab, avocado, heirloom cherry tomatoes, shaved Tifie Ranch hard boiled egg, house-made thousand island, Champagne vinaigrette.
Organic Frisee Salad
House-cured, candied local pork belly, poached Tifie Ranch egg, lemon vinaigrette.
Pink Lentil Soup
Local organic pink lentils, chive oil, house-made spinach creme.
Local grass fed beef tenderloin, chanterelle mushroom cream sauce, organic pea puree, herbed local potato au gratin.
USA caught, never frozen scallops, pickled mustard seeds, basmati rice, house-made coconut curry.
Butternut Squash Lasagna
Hand-made pasta sheets, organic butternut squash puree, local goat cheese, organic spinich, bechamel, candied walnuts, sage oil.
Morgan Valley Lamb shank braised overnight, celery root and apple puree, roasted organic baby carrots.
Fresh berries and whipped cream.
Tres leche cake with a hint of rum, whipped cream, toasted coconut, raspberries, berry sauce.
Fresh grapefruit supremes, local honey in a caramelized hand spun sugar basket.
