The Annual Utah Food and Candy Expo  will be held Tuesday, April 9 at the South Towne Expo Center

Presented by the local chapters of the American Association of Candy Technologist (AACT) along with The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), this is a great opportunity for those involved in the food and candy industry to meet with ingredient and packaging vendors as well as take classes from industry leaders.

Seminars from 1-4 pmv will cover topics like: Flavor management, corn syrups and alternatives, GMO in confectionary, water activity and shelf life, anti-oxidants and tableting.

To most of us this sounds like a science class, but it's sweet science–stuff candymakers need to know.

Vendor booths will be open from 4-7pm.
