One of the most fun events of the year is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. And this year, it's going to be even more fun, since runners will have the chance to get pinked.
By getting pinked, we mean as you finish the race, you'll be splattered with pink cornstarch (probably our favorite colored cornstarch). The first 5,000 runners to get pinked will get free pink sunglasses from Color Me Rad. Don't worry, it washes off.
Race registration starts bright and early at 6:30 a.m., and the run/walk begins at 8:30 a.m. The live music, grantee expo and sponsor booths get started at 9:45 a.m., and awards will be given and survivors recognized at 10:15 p.m.

If all of that doesn't convince you to run, keep in mind our photographer Samuel Askins will be getting shots at the event. Make sure you smile, covered in pink, for Sam's camera to get in the magazine.
The race is at the 50 percent mark of reaching its goal of $250,000 for breast cancer research. About 4,000 more participants are needed to reach the registration goal. Help out by signing up before midnight on Friday, May 10. You can sign up right here.
