Snowbrid Brewfest souvenir mug and tokens.
Local breweries gathered for Brewfest at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort over Father's Day weekend. “It’s become a kick off to summer tradition,” says Ben Jameson, resident of Cottonwood Heights, “This is our third year here, and it keeps getting better.”
With souvenir mugs in tow, visitors were able to taste beer from nine breweries and over 30 microbrews. Admission was free and visitors purchased sample tokens that were redeemed for a 3 ounce pour of draft beer. Tokens could be combined to fill up the souvenir mugs with visitor’s favorites—4 tokens filled a 12 ounce mug.

High point brews were offered for double tokens and included Epic Brewing Co.’s Spiral Jetty IPA and Uinta Brewing’s Cahoots, a limited release Double Rye IPA. Wasatch Brewing also offered the infamous Polygamy Porter Float—a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with a Polygamy Porter.
Festivities kicked off Saturday with the music of the Utah County Swillers followed by Swagger, and 2 ½ White Guys. Local vendors set up booths outside the Snowbird Center selling handcrafted goods, and Snowbird offered pub fare to pair with any brew including garlic cheese fries, wings and deep fried pickles. On Sunday morning, the sounds of Hollering Pines, Natural Roots and Bastard Red Heads played off Little Cottonwood Canyon until the end of the festival.
