We dropped by Luna Blanca Taqueria (from the same owners who brought us Trio) to try the tacos and margaritas. What we found is a relaxed atmosphere with a variety of tacos and drinks to enjoy after hiking the nearby canyons.
We're loving the starters at Luna Blanca. Here are two options:
Charred corn with chipotle butter and queso fresco.
The mushroom quesadilla, which could make a nice quick lunch itself.
The most expensive menu item is $9, but if you're going with tacos (which go for about $3), four make a good sized meal. Go for two or three if it's just lunch. The special when we went was chicken tinga tacos with mango salsa.
Luna Blanca is looking to be known for its tequila, so order a margarita, which will come to you in a cute little jar. Actually, most of the drinks are served in former jars—a little touch adding to the kick-back ambiance.
And for dessert, get the key lime popsicle. It tastes like the pie. Somehow this American treat is a good finishing touch for the tacos you had earlier. If you're going vegan, go for the mango popsicle instead.
