The TAG Ranch & Foundation in Wanship gives kids a safe, educational and life-enhancing environment to grow into confident and compassionate adults—all while working with horses and making friendships that last long after the camp ends.
This past weekend, TAG (The Authentic Generation) held its Cowboys with Heart fundraiser, inviting supporters and local art collectors and enthusiasts to the ranch, for a fundraiser fueled by a live art auction, featuring stunning work by artists like Lanny Barnard, Erin Westenskow Berrett, Rebecca Kinkead and others.
Josee Nadeau, an internationally-acclaimed artist, created the evening's marquee piece at the event to live music by Salt Lake Symphony. The painting, a stunning depiction of horses, sold for $11,000.

When asked what it's like to paint live at the event she told us "It's exhilarating and peaceful." Along with supporting the event, Nadeau works with kids at TAG. "They invited me here. I'm happy to contribute to a great camp for children like this."
Salt Lake Symphony performed throughout the night while guests enjoyed food and drinks, and even played alpine horns.

Jimmy Smith started the ranch with his wife Lisa in 2008. Now he trains others to train horses there. "We've got seven at the ranch right now," he says. Upon arriving at the fundraiser, guests were able to interact with horses at the barn, before being shuttled to the ranch home for dining, drinks and the live auction. "It's a real confirmation of a dream and vision," Smith says.

Smith added the driving force behind the program is Mary Lee Robinson. "This place is not just for a child in need, but really any child," Robinson says. "The kids learn about lifting each other up." TAG's uplifting nature was illustrated by a dance by girls at the event with an anti-bullying message.
Money raised at the event will go toward what Robinson calls the "field of dreams," TAG's future baseball field.
