Mere birthright alone doth not a Utahn create. What makes a true local? We say it is not the number of years you've lived within Zion's borders, but rather the zeal with which you explore all our state has to offer. If you're new, or if you're questioning your right to citizenship, we're here to help, with this refresher course on a quintessential Utah-to-do experience. Check back for another to check off your list.
One of the homes on the Salt Lake Parade of Homes.
When selling a Utah home, Realtors know saying "It's a Parade home" is a feather in the cap.
The public will get a chance to peruse those parade homes in SLC on the Salt Lake Parade of Homes from 12–9 p.m., Aug. 2 to 17 (excluding Sundays). Some of these new homes are for sale and others were built with an owner in mind.
If you want to see homes that are more luxurious, go on the Park City Area Showcase of Homes, which will be held the Aug. 17–18, 24–25 and Aug. 31–Sept. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. And for even bigger, beautiful Park City homes, go on the Luxury Home Tour of Park City. It's one day, Aug. 10 from 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m., but you'll see some of the most amazing homes you've seen in your life at Deer Crest. Don't believe us? Check out this preview:
While on your parade, take a note pad to jot down architectural or design ideas you'd like to incorporate into your own home, or better yet, ask how you can make an offer to buy if it's for sale. You'll also have the satisfaction of knowing you checked off an item on your list of quintessential Utah experiences. This is the type of experience many locals say, "I'll do next year," and never do. Don't be like that. If you're not in the SLC or Park City area, there's probably a parade near you.
