Prepare for a busy—some would say surreal—weekend in SLC that will serve as the death rattle of summer 2013. The Downtown Alliance even sent out an human-tsunami alert to "plan ahead and prepare for potentially high traffic and parking demand."

Here's the rundown:

As many as 45,000 full-on geeks will flood Comic Con, Thursday-Saturday at the Salt Palace (not counting a few thousand geeks-in-training at the Disney Pirate and Princess Adventure Show), meanwhile 50,000 Hellenophiles will be bouzouki dancing at the Greek Festival and 40,000 insufferable hipsters will march on Pioneer Park to see MGMT at the Thursday Twilight Concert.

But here's where it gets surreal—James Taylor fronting for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (we are not making this up) is expected to draw 25,000 on Friday and Saturday.

How many of that Sweet Baby Mo-Tab crowd will also show up for Sunday's Undie Run is anybody's guess. And save room on your dance card for the Farmers Market, Brazilian Fest, Utah State Fair and the Avenues Street Fair.

Or you can just adopt our Default Plan: Grab a Farm-to-Glass Cocktail, kick back and blow it all off.
