The Alzheimer's Association will be holding four walks in Utah during the month of September. The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the nation's largest event which raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, research and support. The walks are held annually in more than 600 communities around the nation.
According to The Alzheimer's Association's website the walk “unites the entire community – family, friends, co-workers, social and religious groups and more – in a display of combined strength and dedication in the fight against this devastating disease.”
The soonest Utah walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 7 at 10:00 a.m. with registration starting at 9:00 a.m. There is no fee to register, participants are expected to fundraise and donate in order to contribute to the cause. The walk will start and hold registration at Murray City Park 296 E. Murray Park Ave., Salt Lake City.
