Instead of doing the same old this weekend, head down to Utah Valley for the Downtown Provo Gallery Stroll. Venues along Center Street and University Avenue open their doors for the public to enjoy galleries for free every first Friday of the month.
Take a stroll through historic downtown Provo and enjoy music, art and theater (and often refreshments) from 6 to 9 p.m. You can start at any of the galleries and you’ll get directions to the other ones.
Venues participating in November are Terra Nova Gallery, Provo Community Church, Muse, Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, Utah County Art Gallery, Window Box Gallery, PhoPlus and the Covey Center for the Arts.
Most of them are along University Avenue. Here’s a map.
This Friday, Nov. 1, will be a clear but chilly night, so dress warmly. The gallery stroll is a great activity for friends, dates and families. The nice part is that you can spend however long you want at each gallery and go to as many venues as you’d like.
Take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy excellent art and some crisp, autumn air as you wander between galleries.
