With Salt Lake Valley getting fresh snow early Sunday morning, it is no surprise ski aficionados are licking their chops with the prospect of snapping on their ski boots in search of an early powder run. Make sure you're fully prepared this year at Park City Ski Team Ski-Swap—starting this weekend (Friday, Nov. 8 to Sunday, Nov. 10) at the Basin Recreation Field House in Park City.
With this year's 41st annual Ski Swap, the Park City Ski Team, along with its umbrella organization the Park City Ski Education Foundation, boasts one of the nation's oldest and largest ski swaps with a huge collection of ski and snowboard gear and accessories.
“There is so much participation from the community, and people from all across the Wasatch . . . who I think are the main reason for how successful this event is,” says Jesse Hunt, program director.
Along with buying new gear, you'll have the opportunity to donate and swap old skis and snowboards to support Park City Ski Team's young athletes in and around Park City. Thirty percent of sales commissions go to the Park City Ski Team.
Starting at 8 p.m. until 1 a.m. on Friday, skiers and snowboarders can get in for $10 admission (free for kids 12 and under).
Skis and snowboards more than 5 years old will not be accepted. For more information visit parkcityskiswap.com.
