Let's face it. Bad hair days happen. And sometimes when the air is ultra dry, they happen more than we'd like. Luckily, in winter we can easily follow our mother's age-old advice and cover our heads. Think hair accesories, hats and headbands.

When those bad days arrive, cover it completely with a hat or conceal it partially with headband. Throw it up in a hair tie, sock bun or braid and just call it good. These days an imperfect coif can still be socially acceptable.

Throw in a little sparkle for the holidays with a glimmery headband or wrap. And just because the temps may be in the single digits, doesn't mean beanies are the only option for hats. Fedoras work well with many outfits and pair well with other wintery layers like scarves.
